Step 1: Enter chrome:/flags/ in the address bar and hit Enter.

Step 2: Look for and disable “Hardware-accelerated video decode.”

Step 3: You’ll see a pop-up prompting you to restart your browser. Make sure it works by clicking on it.

By following the same steps, one can always go back to the original settings.

Microsoft Edge employs software rendering instead of hardware acceleration to speed up the process, whereas Chrome relies on hardware acceleration.
